Reverse osmosis removes more than 97% of dissolved salts and over 99% of colloids, micro-organisms, particles and organic matter. For a mineral water plant, ultrafiltration keeps the minerals instead.
Quick answerA water treatment system turns raw water into purified or mineral water for bottling. Angel’s systems combine quartz sand and activated carbon filters, a sodium-ion softener, precision filtration, reverse osmosis, UV and ozone sterilisation, chosen from your raw-water analysis and sized to the RO water filling machine after them.

Treatment steps in order
Each stage is chosen from your raw-water analysis; not every plant needs all of them.
Quartz sand filter
Removes suspended solids and particles, reducing turbidity.
Activated carbon filter
Removes colour, odour and many organic substances.
Sodium-ion exchanger
Removes calcium and magnesium ions to soften the water.
Precision filter
Keeps particles entering the RO membranes below 0.1 µm.
Reverse osmosis
Water purification through semi-permeable membranes under pressure; low energy use and no chemicals.
UV sterilizer
Kills bacteria that pass the RO stage.
Ozone sterilizer
Kills bacteria that survive UV and protects the pure water tank.
Hollow-fibre ultrafilter
Optional for mineral water: separates macromolecules and colloids while keeping minerals.
Also consider
Treated water goes straight to the XGF water filling machine for 330 ml–2 L PET bottles.

01What capacity do I need?
Size treatment above the filler’s water use, allowing for rinse water and CIP. A 20,000 L/h line is shown on the product page.
02Purified or mineral water?
Purified water uses RO. Mineral water usually uses ultrafiltration to keep minerals; the choice follows your raw-water report and local standard.
